Coronavirus Update

May 1, 2020

We have great news: we are reopening and resuming all services!

What does this mean?

The health and safety of our patients and our employees is our number one priority. We have implemented a number of protocols to ensure we all remain healthy and safe.

At each appointment, we will proceed with an initial check-in process via text messaging. Upon your arrival to the clinic, please stay in your vehicle and text 480-874-2229 with your First Initial and Last Name.

We will begin the check-in process by texting you back with a series of COVID-19 screening questions. If you answer “Yes” to any of the questions, you will not be allowed to enter our offices and, unfortunately, your appointment/cycle will be canceled until further notice.

The COVID-19 screening questions you will be asked are:

  1. Have you had a fever or respiratory symptoms (e.g., cough or difficulty breathing) within the last 14 days?
  2. Are you feeling ill (or feel as though you’re coming down with an illness) or caring for someone who is ill within the last 14 days?
  3. Have you had exposure to someone who’s tested positive for COVID-19?
  4. Have you traveled to China, Iran, South Korea, Italy, or Japan within the last 14 days and felt ill, or been in contact with someone who has and became ill?

If you answered “No” to all of these questions, please continue to wait in your vehicle. Once we are ready for you, we will check your temperature at the door. CDC guidelines qualify a temperature at 100.4 or higher. If you have a temperature, we will cancel your appointment/cycle until further notice.

Please remember to put your mask on prior to entering the office. Masks are required to be worn properly at all times while in the office. If you have your own, then please use that. If you don’t, then one can be purchased in the office. Surgical masks are $1 and N95 masks are $5. Please let us know via text during the check-in process that you require a mask. These masks are reusable and we recommend you bring them to future appointments as supplies are limited right now.

As we focus on the health and safety of our patients and our employees, we have to implement the policy that patients attend all appointments without friends or family. Unfortunately, this includes children. Your partner is permitted to join you for OB Ultrasounds and Transfer appointments only. Your partner will also be required to wear a mask at all times during these appointments.

We have always maintained strict cleaning and sanitization protocols in our clinics and will continue to follow all CDC guidelines. In addition, our staff will be wearing PPE (personal protective equipment) while interacting with each other and patients. You may see them wearing special masks and gowns, in addition to gloves.

Thank you for your understanding during these challenging times.

We look forward to seeing you.

ADVANCED FERTILITY CARE
March 13, 2020 – Patient Update

To Our Patients:

We know many of you are concerned about the spread of COVID-19 (the new coronavirus) and how it may impact us here at Advanced Fertility Care.  Ensuring patients are cared for in a safe and healthy environment is our first priority. At this time, we don’t have any cases in our clinic.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have recommended a variety of steps that we are implementing to help reduce the potential for the virus to enter our buildings. However, we need your help in battling COVID-19. Below are some examples of how you can help protect the yourselves and our staff, as well as prevent the spread throughout the community.

If you are experiencing a cough, fever, sore throat, runny nose, and/or shortness of breath, please call and reschedule your appointment.

We encourage any patients who are scheduled for new patient consultations or follow up appointments to do these by phone, Skype or some other virtual communication.

You can help prevent the spread of infection by exercising proper hand washing hygiene as well as coughing and sneezing etiquette. We have hand washing and alcohol-based hand sanitizer available throughout our offices.  Please also avoid contact with people and items as much as possible: handshakes, handles, etc.

At this time, we request that family and friends do not accompany patients to appointments. Out of an abundance of caution, we are limiting all visitors to our offices unless absolutely necessary. We have posted signs on our entryway doors to notify visitors of this policy and actively screening individuals, including staff, who need to come into the building. If you have a family member or friend with you for appointments, please have them wait in the vehicle during your appointment.

Our office has always followed CDC recommendation on prevention, which includes: following strict handwashing procedures, sanitizing rooms after each patient, sanitizing door handles and workstations regularly, etc.  We have increased all prevention activities and are being vigilant in our sanitation practices.  We also are staying up to date with the CDC recommendations as they may continue to change.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us.

Sincerely,

Advanced Fertility Care
