Nathaniel Zoneraich, MD, FACOG

Diplomate of American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Nathaniel Zoneraich grew up in Northern New Jersey and received his undergraduate degree from the prestigious Cornell University. He attended medical school in New York City, NY and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the world renowned Cornell University Medical College. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. There he served as Executive Chief Resident during his last year of residency and was awarded Outstanding Resident of Gynecologic Endoscopy by his peers and mentors of the Ob/Gyn Department. Dr. Zoneraich went on to complete his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.

After fellowship, Dr. Zoneraich moved to the Washington D.C., Virginia, Maryland area and joined Washington Fertility Center, a private fertility clinic where he proved his skills at helping create families. In 2005, Dr. Zoneraich moved to Arizona to openFertility Care.

Dr. Zoneraich is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of  American Society of Reproductive Medicine, Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology, American Medical Association, and Phoenix Ob/Gyn Society.

Dr. Zoneraich's impressive training and experience has resulted in some of the highest success rates in Arizona as well as the country.  Dr. Zoneraich's special interests include fertility preservation with egg freezing, in vitro fertilization (IVF), donor egg IVF, andhysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery.  He is also become extremely well known for his compassionate style and warm bedside manner.  Dr.  Zoneraich is married and lives in Scottsdale with his wife and two children.

Frederick Larsen, MD, FACOG

Diplomate of American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr Frederick Larsen grew up in Virginia and received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University. He received his M.D. from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1994. Following medical school, he completed an OB/GYN residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. While in residency, he was selected as the Outstanding Senior Resident and was awarded national honors by the American College of OB/GYN for his research. Prior to beginning his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Duke University, he was a practicing OB/GYN generalist for 2 years.

Upon completion of his fellowship in 2003, Dr. Larsen served as Director of Assisted Reproductive Technologies at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C for five years where he managed over 400 IVF cycles a year and led the clinical training of fellows from the National Institute of Health's (NIH) Infertility Fellowship. While on faculty of the NIH Infertility fellowship, he was the leading producer of clinical research and focused his research efforts on IVF outcome. Dr. Larsen's related research has been highly published and presented since 1998.

Dr. Larsen is board-certified in both Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility and Obstetrics & Gynecology. He is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology, and the Phoenix Ob/Gyn Society. Dr. Larsen's special interests include fertility preservation, in vitro fertilization,hysteroscopic and laparoscopic (including robotic) surgery, tubal reversal surgery and the legal aspects of reproductive medicine. While only having lived in the Valley since 2008, his ties to this area go back over one hundred years.  He currently lives in Awhatukee with his wife and 6 children.

Liz Holmes, BA, MS, TS

Senior Embryologist & Laboratory Supervisor

Liz Holmes is a board certified technical supervisor in the specialty of andrology and embryology, and is responsible for all day-to-day functions of the laboratory. In addition to her enthusiasm and commitment to infertility treatment, she brings with her a working knowledge of extended embryo culture and cryopreservation. Liz has over 5 years of experience in the field of human in-vitro fertilization and is highly proficient in Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) and Assisted Hatching (AH). She also has had the opportunity to be a central part in one of the most successful IVF programs in the country.

Liz has spent most of her life on the West Coast, living and going to school in California, Oregon and Washington. In her spare time, Liz enjoys reading and watching sports with friends. She moved to Arizona from San Francisco and welcomes the change of scenery.

Joe Conaghan, Ph.D., HCLD

Laboratory Director

Dr. Conaghan has over 20 years experience working in embryology and andrology laboratories. He is internationally recognized for his work on improving embryo culture conditions.

Dr. Conaghan obtained his Ph.D. in Human Embryology at the University of London, under the direction of Dr. Alan Handyside and Dr. Henry Leese. He spent 7 years at Hammersmith Hospital in London, where he trained in embryology. More recently, he spent 5 years as the IVF laboratory director at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and also serves as the laboratory director of Pacific Fertility Center in San Francisco, CA. He is board certified as a High-complexity Clinical Laboratory Director (HCLD) in the disciplines of Embryology and Andrology.

Dr. Conaghan is a regular faculty member at the American Board of Bioanalysts (ABB) review course. He also sits on the ABB Board of Directors and is the immediate past Chair of the College of Reproductive Biology (CRB). He is a frequent speaker at both the ABB and American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) annual meetings and he teaches Reproductive Technology at San Francisco State University where he is a faculty member. He participates as a Reproductive Laboratory Inspector for the College of American Pathologists (CAP). Dr. Conaghan is also a current executive member of the board of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) where he represents laboratory directors. He has been a member of ASRM for 15 years and a member of ESHRE for 14 years.

Dr. Conaghan's interests are in developing programs for the treatment of severe male factor infertility, diagnosis of genetic disease in embryos, improved embryo culture and improving protocols for oocyte and embryo freezing. Dr. Conaghan resides with his wife and 3 children.
