Selecting a medical practice for fertility treatment can be confusing, stressful and overwhelming. The choice you make will profoundly affect your future and chance for success, and therefore, it is very important that you spend time getting educated before making a choice.
Fertility Clinics are NOT all the Same!!
At Advanced Fertility Care, we think that you should come to us for your IVF cycle because we believe that we are the best clinic in the Valley. Our success rates put us as one of the top clinics in the country, giving you the best chance of starting your family. In addition to our success rates, you will receive the personal care and attention that every patient wants and deserves. We encourage you to do your research, as we are confident that once you make your own comparison, you will choose us for your care.
In order to research clinics, you will want to ask questions on several key issues, such as: success rates, costs, types of procedures performed, and insurance participation. Understanding these issues before you initiate treatment will save you an enormous amount of time, energy, frustration, and money, not to mention increasing your chances of achieving a successful pregnancy.
Where to Gather Information
- Success Rates: We believe that all fertility clinics should publish their success rates and post them on their websites for patients. Unfortunately, most clinics make is very hard for you to find their success rates – they hide them and hope that you will not know to ask. Our success rates are on our website, updated quarterly, in the format dictated by the Centers for Disease Control. ALL fertility clinics report to the CDC (www.cdc.gov/ART ) and you can search the various clinics in Arizona on your own. Most well respected clinics also belong to and report to the Society Assisted Reproductive Technology ( www.sart.org ) however, recently some large clinics pulled out of SART and no longer report their rates. Thus, for a full list of clinics in Arizona, go to the CDC.
- Costs: We believe that that all fertility clinics should post their prices on their website. Fertility treatment is expensive, and at Advanced Fertility Care, we want you to be able to plan and see what the costs are. We have a full breakdown of all of our fees under the Financial Information Section. We are also happy to answer questions via phone or email and you will meet with a financial counselor after you follow-up consultation to discuss treatment expenses. We also offer financing options if you need assistance.
- Types of Procedures Performed: While most fertility clinics do perform similar treatments, there are big differences in diagnostic testing, how quickly patients are recommended for IVF and the attention the patient receives from the physician.
- Insurance Participation: Advanced Fertility Care accepts almost all insurance plans for patients with insurance coverage. It is always a good idea to call your insurance plan and ask what coverage you have for fertility. Before your new patient appointment, our billing manager will also call your insurance so that you will understand the expenses before you start with our office. We try very hard to make sure that you are aware of all financials at each step and that you never have a surprise bill.
